Tris(4-carbazolyl-9-ylphenyl)amine (TCTA) has three carbazole units as side groups and triarylamine as the core, so it is rich in electrons. It is widely used as a hole transport (HTL) and hole injection material (HIL) in light emitting diodes and perovskite solar cells. TCTA has a higher triplet energy (ET= 3.0 eV), LUMO (2.43 eV) and HOMO (5.83 eV), due to their large energy band gap (Eg = 3.4 eV), they are widely used as phosphorescent host materials to prepare green, red and white phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes (PhOLED) device.
